India’s Kalyan Jewellers to foray into Oman

Muscat: Kalyan Jewellers, one of the leading jewellery brands in the GCC and India, has announced that it will open three showrooms as part of its foray into Oman.
All the three showrooms will be launched on December 29, 2017 at Al Ma’abelah, Ruwi and Baushar in Muscat, said a press release. Kalyan Jewellers’ global brand ambassador and film icon Amitabh Bachchan will inaugurate these showrooms along with other ambassadors like Prabhu Ganesan, Nagarjuna, Shivraj Kumar and Manju Warrier. Kalyan Jewellers’ Chairman and Managing Director T S Kalyanaraman and Executive Directors Rajesh Kalyanaraman and Ramesh Kalyanaraman will be present on the occasion.
“Kalyan Jewellers will bring a world-class jewellery shopping experience to the people of Oman. Customers can usher the New Year by availing of a wide selection of exquisite jewellery designs in gold, diamond, uncut and precious stone studded jewellery, intricately crafted by our artisans. The showrooms will also feature Kalyan’s exhaustive collections for everyday wear as well for special occasions like weddings in contemporary and traditional motifs. We will offer distinct collections that will cater to cultural preferences of the different communities,’’ said T S Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers.
The Kalyan Jewellers showrooms launch on December 29, 2017 is scheduled at 3.30 pm at Nesto Hypermarket, Al Ma’abelah, 4.30 pm at Ruwi High Street and 5.30 pm at Avenues Mall, Baushar.
The showrooms will have an exclusive section displaying Kalyan’s popular house brands such as Ameera - the Arabic Collection, Mudhra - handcrafted antique jewellery, Ziah - an exquisite range of diamond jewellery, Glo-Dancing diamonds, Nimah - authentic heritage Jewellery, Anokhi – uncut diamonds, Apoorva – diamonds for special occasions, Antara – wedding Diamonds and Hera – daily wear diamonds and Rang – precious stones jewellery.
Kalyan will draw from its portfolio of contemporary and traditional designs, and will offer selections for everyday as well as bridal wear and festive occasions. Shoppers at Kalyan Jewellers will also be able to avail of the Christmas and Year End offer that guarantees shoppers free gifts with every purchase of gold, diamond and precious stone jewellery.

The company forayed into GCC in 2013 with a multi-showroom launch in UAE. This was followed by markets like Kuwait (four showrooms) and Qatar (seven showrooms), and today Kalyan has a network of 28 showrooms across these three countries. Currently, Kalyan Jewellers has 118 stores spread across West Asia and India, and with the Oman launch, there will be a total of 121 showrooms. The company was the first to attract the largest private equity investment in the Indian jewellery sector by Warburg Pincus of $200 million.
