KUPCAKES A GO-GO
Returning to her hometown, Audra Mitchell toyed with business ideas that would accommodate her schedule around aging parents.
Kupcakes a Go-Go is the result.
“I taught myself how to decorate cakes when I was 16,” the Fort Walton Beach native said. “I wanted my own business and decided to create a cupcake delivery business.”
Kupcakes a Go-Go offers gourmet, beautifully decorated treats with delivery service. Mitchell has no store front, but she will travel throughout Okaloosa County to get the cupcakes to her clients.
“Tell me where you are, and I’ll meet you there,” she said.
Orders are placed through the Kupcakes a Go-Go website, which lists flavors that include traditional white or chocolate cake along with gourmet selections such as the peanut butter cake with chocolate butter cream frosting; almond cake with salted caramel icing; and the classic red velvet.
“A lot of time and thought has gone into these recipes,” Mitchell said.
In addition to the cupcakes, Mitchell has dabbled in candy making, incorporating chocolate into seasonal shapes.
As a delivery service, Mitchell does charge a minimum fee, but she accepts orders of all sizes.
“I can meet you with one cupcake if that’s all you want,” she said.

ALLURE HOME STAGING
As the broker and owner of Nautical Real Estate, Krystal Mitchell Boelk often stages properties for her clients. In November 2017, she turned that talent into its own business and brought in Erika Pool to manage Allure Home Staging.
“We give that home that perfect look for that perfect client,” Pool said. “We work with all sorts of clients and all sorts of properties.”
Pool added that well-staged homes often sell quicker than an empty house or houses with confusing arrangements.
“We have three warehouses full of furniture,” Pool said.
The Allure Home Staging staff works with people who still live in their homes, finding the best layout for existing furniture. Pool said that she and the staff can also help people find pieces that better display the purpose of rooms.
With new builds, the homes can be staged to suggest comfort to potential buyers.
“We want to provide the best service possible for our customers,” Pool added.
