Bealls Home Centric Opens

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Northpointe Center offers numerous retail outlets that gives Muskingum County shoppers a larger variety of options to consider. 

Bealls is a Florida based retail operation that has nearly 700 locations in 23 states. Area Group Manager Christina Cox explained how today’s grand opening in Zanesville makes it the 17th store in Ohio and only the second Bealls location in the state that carries the Home Centric designation.

“Home Centric is… it gives the family more to shop for,” Cox said. “Like your bathroom, your furniture, it gives an entire selection in one. So not only can you shop here for your softlines and you’ve got juniors, women’s, men’s, kids. It ties in all of your homelines so that way you can come to one place.”

Cox noted that providing the easiest shopping experience plays a key role in making the guests the number one focus of their operation. She added that the store opening may have already taken place but there are still plenty of jobs that need to be filled. 

“We’ve opened roughly 30-35 positions for people to be here,” Cox said. “We continue to hire throughout the year. Especially with seasonal, we definitely hire in to make sure all our customers are accommodated. We do the ‘Art of the Cart,’ so we make sure all our customers here are taken care of every step of the way. So that way they don’t have to feel like they need to carry merchandise around. So we constantly keep staffing here.”
