The Office of the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Protection of Personal Data and the Agency for Information and Privacy (AIP) of Kosovo exchanged best practices for high standards in respecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.
A group of employees of the counterpart authority conducted a study visit to Tirana, within the framework of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the two institutions in 2022.
This activity was divided into two parts and addressed a series of issues and topics related to both fields of responsibility of the authorities, as well as their internal organization and functioning.
During the meeting, practical cases were extensively discussed, both in the field of the right to information and in that of the protection of personal data or the development of joint inspections in specific sectors.
At the same time, respective experiences were shared in drafting subordinate acts or guidelines and opinions, as well as ideas were exchanged for strengthening the administrative and professional capacities of AIP.
Another important point was the support of the Office of the Commissioner for the advancement of the status and membership of the authority of Kosovo in international organizations.
