BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - State officials are reminding residents of statewide liquor sale laws this Easter.

According to the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, liquor sales are prohibited this upcoming Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

This law affects retail liquor outlets but does not apply to off-premises sales of beer and wine, such as at grocery and convenience stores.

Also exempt from this law are on-premise licenses, such as private clubs, bars, and restaurants in the state.
