Fraport Maryland continues to extend F&B and retail options at BWI Marshall Airport

USA. Fraport Maryland has added several new outlets to the F&B and retail options at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall).

The 300sq ft baggallini store in the airport’s A/B food court offers a range of bags and accessories. The brand was founded by two flight attendants 20 years ago.

The 100sq ft Farmers Market in B Concourse specialises in ‘fresh-from-the-market’ fruit and vegetable snacks. Sandwiches, salads and treats are also available while the 455sq ft martini cocktail bar, in the A/B food court, specialises in cocktails, craft beers and martinis. Its menu also includes sandwiches and bar snacks.

Sir Veza’s Kitchen and Kantina, a 1,000sq ft outlet in the main terminal, offers Mexican and American street food, including tacos, burritos, burgers, wings and hot dogs. Local and world craft beers are also served in the ‘sports gastropub’ which pays homage to the founder’s passion for high-performance American ‘muscle’ cars and motorcycles.

Cocktails anyone?: The new martini outlet (above) is located in A/B food court, along with the baggallini bag and accessories shop.

Fraport Maryland noted that the airport was introducing new airlines and flights to new markets. “In the first quarter of 2018, BWI Marshall set a record for the first three months of any year, with more than 5.9 million passengers,” the retail and F&B operator and manager stated.

“BWI Marshall continues to be such a fast-growing airport, our challenge is to find and activate new space to keep pace with the growth,” said Fraport Maryland Vice President Brett Kelly.

“These concepts are great additions to the line-up of productive stores, restaurants and services here.”

The Farmers Market (above) and Sir Veza’s Kitchen and Kantina join Fraport Maryland’s F&B options at BWI Marshall Airport.

Earlier this month Fraport Maryland partnered with bag and travel accessories specialist Lug to open a new store at the airport.
